TIP # 1
If you traveling with your guitar, or going you are going away, always take the strings OFF, or at least loosen them right back so they are really loose. This will reduce the tension and will prevent it from bending, bowing at the neck, and worst case,,,,, remember my friend's story
TIP # 2
Always keep your guitar in a dry cool place. If moisture gets into the wood, it will dull the sound and probably increase the chance of bending if pressure is ever put on it
TIP # 3
it's a good idea to clean the body of your guitar using quality cleaning agents cleaning agents on the body of your guitar. Layer it onto your guitar. Do not let it crack or splinter.
TIP # 4
Your fingers have natural oils on them and it gets into your strings every time you play. Try to wipe your guitar strings after you finish. This prevents the oil from your fingers getting into the strings and rush appearing on your strings
TIP #5
Always use a carry bag, preferable a hard case, to transport your guitar. I know they cost money and don't seem like a worthwhile thing as you'll never bump it -- but get one. They keep your guitar in a dry place, prevent knocks, chipping as well as offer security as most guitar bags have locks on them.
Well I hope you get some benefit from this article and don't ever have to experience what my friend unfortunately went through.
Happy playing!!
